Gamma
ˈɡamə
A mathematical function, which extends the factorial to all numbers, including the negative and the decimal numbers. The gamma function is horizontally shifted by one unit compared to the factorial, so Γ(n) is equal to (n-1)!.
The gamma function is undefined for all non-positive integers (0, -1, -2, ...), with values close to these parameters shooting off towards negative and positive infinity.
