To order educational licenses, proof of status is required.

All documentation must include your name, current term and be in English (optionally in German, French, Italian, or Spanish).

Students

If you are a student (at least one semester) with an acceptable form of academic documentation at a primary school, secondary school, college or university, you qualify to order a single-user educational license.

Provide one of the following documents with your order. The document must include the current date (no more than 2 months old), the current term, the name of your school/university and your full name:

  • Payment receipt of registration fee for the current school term
  • Your transcript of records dated for the current school term
  • A document signed by the educational center certifying your student status and dated for the current school term

Note: College/University ID cards are not acceptable

If you are enrolled in a short-term training course or a Rhino course at ART / ARTC, you are not eligible for an Educational license. You must purchase a commercial license.

Foundations, museums, charities, NGOs, retirees, hobbyists do not qualify for educational licenses

Faculty/Staff

If you are a member of the faculty or staff with an acceptable form of academic documentation at a primary school, secondary school, college or university, you qualify to order a single-user educational license.

Provide one of the following documents with your order. The document must include the current date (no more than 2 months old), the current term, the name of your school/university and your full name:

  • Previous month’s pay stub showing the name of your school/university (you can hide sensitive information)
  • Teaching contract showing the current term
  • Document signed by the educational center certifying your faculty/staff status and dated for the current school term

Note: College/University ID cards and invoice from contractor to school are not acceptable

Schools

Any government accredited school can order single‑user educational licenses or lab licenses on a school purchase order or procurement card. Provide one of the following with your order:

  • School’s tax exemption certificate
  • Faculty/staff pay stub from the current school term. You may redact any sensitive information.

Rhino 5 and earlier versions can only be run on computers owned by the school, but with Rhino 6 (and later), the school can grant student-owned computers access to their lab licenses using Cloud Zoo Teams.
