What is the soft launch?
The soft launch is the few weeks before the public announcement, when we make sure sales, marketing, downloads, installation, and support are ready for Rhino 9.
Timeline
90+ days before
Rhino 9 SDK is available to plugin developers. By now, all of your favorite plugins should work with the Rhino 9 beta.
60+ days before
Rhino 9 beta released to all Rhino 8 license holders. We start working with you on launch details: website, training, support, and sales updates.
~30 days before
Rhino 9 ships to resellers. You can start taking orders. We begin replacing your Rhino 8 inventory with Rhino 9.
Announcement day
Public announcement. Send coordinated emails, social posts, and press releases.
