An interpolation function defined on the interval [0, 1]. The SmoothestStep function is a sigmoid, or S-shaped, degree 7 polynomial with horizontal tangents at both zero and one.

It is the highest order function in the SmoothStep family, providing the highest continuity at the limits, but at the cost of more rapid growth in the middle.
