Seed
siːd

In computing, an integer used as the initial state of a random number generator. The seed controls the first number in a pseudo-random sequence, this first number is then modified by the algorithm to generate the next number and so on. Pseudo-randomness is a fully deterministic process, therefore a specific seed value fed into the same algorithm will always yield the same pseudo-random sequence, regardless of context.
