The workspace of the Grasshopper interface. When creating or viewing a Grasshopper file one always interacts with the parameters, components and wires on the canvas.

The canvas is conceptually infinite in all directions and places no limits on where components are located relative to the origin or each other. The lower right quadrant is emphasised merely to provide a sense of home for the user.
