As a licensed Rhino 7 user, you are invited to try the Rhino WIP. We will notify you as new features and major enhancements near completion. The first one is Shrinkwrap.
Shrinkwrap creates a water-tight mesh around open or closed meshes, NURBS geometry, SubD, and Point Clouds. ShrinkWrap is ideal for creating:
- Meshes for 3D printing.
- A solid union mesh from multiple objects.
- A solid mesh from 3D scan data fragments.
- Meshes without internal self intersections.
- Offset meshes for shelling.
- Meshes from point clouds when reverse engineering.
- Valid closed meshes from broken or often hard-to-repair geometry.
Important details
- Rhino 8 will NOT ship soon.
- Check the system requirements before downloading.
- A Rhino 7 license is required. An eval license will NOT work.
- Do NOT uninstall your Rhino 7.
- The Rhino 8 file format could change. To be safe, Save As Rhino 7 often.
- All Rhino 7 plugins and existing Grasshopper definitions should work.
- CAUTION: These weekly WIP builds often are not stable or production-ready.
- No significant price or licensing policy changes are planned.
