Rhino.Inside.Civil3D available

Rhino.Inside.Civil3D embeds the full Rhino geometry engine and Grasshopper directly into Civil 3D. Drive alignments, corridors, profiles, and TIN surfaces parametrically — no file exports, no coordinate misalignment, no switching apps.

What you can do

  • Read your Civil 3D objects. Query alignments, profiles, corridors, assemblies, TIN surfaces, sites, and parcels through dedicated Grasshopper components.

  • Exchange surfaces and geometry. Create native TIN surfaces from Rhino meshes for cut/fill studies, or decompose surfaces into boundaries, contours, and breaklines.

  • Decompose linear infrastructure. Break corridors down to baselines, regions, feature lines, and surfaces — ideal for rail, highway, and earthworks studies.

  • Bring your whole Grasshopper toolkit. The wider Grasshopper plugin ecosystem — Kangaroo, Pufferfish, Anemone, and hundreds more — now runs inside the Civil 3D process, ready to drive your infrastructure workflows.

It's free to download, and we want you to put it through its paces. Open one of your own drawings and see what Grasshopper can do inside Civil 3D.
