Rhinoceros 7 inside Revit

December 2020

We continue to improve Rhino.Inside.Revit. See what is new with Rhino.Inside.Revit and the great community that is growing around it:

We've released Rhino 7:

The release of Rhino 7 will effect who can run Rhino.Inside.Revit. Now Rhino 7 commercial, educational or evaluation (90 days) is required to run in Revit.

A new Rhino.Inside.Revit build is available:

  • Improved geometry conversion:
    • If normal geometry conversion fails, an SAT format is attempted. This improves what geometry can pass to Revit, like SubD models, but can be slower in difficult cases.
    • Surface orientation is maintained.
    • Solids with singular edges handled.
    • Trim curve accuracy increased.
  • New Project/Site Location and Project Information components.
  • Element Location updated for Directshapes.
  • Fixed a units conversion problem on Bitmap Asset components.
  • Fixed BasePoint Location for shared locations like Survey Points.
  • Implemented Bake… right-click context menu into Categories, Line Patterns, Materials and Graphical Elements into Rhino blocks.
  • Levels and Shared Site are baked as named CPlanes in Rhino through a right-click.

New tutorials and learning material:

There is a growing number of resources to help understand how to use this new technology in your workflows:

Take care, stay safe, stay well.
