Vector
ˈvɛktə

A direction and magnitude in space. An individual vector is defined by a set of numbers, which denote its length along the principal directions of a coordinate system. Its magnitude is ‖v‖=x2+y2+z2.

Typically, vectors in Grasshopper are expressed within the World XYZ system, which makes them computationally almost identical to points, but it is important to keep the conceptual difference in mind. Vectors are not geometric entities as they lack both a shape and a location in space.

In mathematics and computer science, lists of numbers are sometimes called vectors.
