Sandbox
A state of the Grasshopper application in which changes to settings and options are not written to files. I.e. changes to settings are no longer persistent. Furthermore the overwriting of existing files requires additional permission from the user on a per-file basis, as does the running of expressions.
In general, Sandbox mode should be enabled before opening files from untrusted sources, although note that it does not provide a secure level of protection. If there is a concern that a file might contain malicious code, it should either not be opened at all, or opened in a genuine sandbox environment such as a virtual machine.
Sandbox mode can be enabled or disabled via the Application menu.
