A type of gradient noise between an upper and a lower limit. Grasshopper 1.0 provided one-dimensional Perlin noise, but in Grasshopper 2.0 only one-dimensional simplex noise is available. This is because simplex noise offers better control of lower and upper extremes and scales more naturally to higher dimensions.
