In mathematics, an infinite straight curve. However, in Rhinoceros and Grasshopper the term can signify both an infinite and a finite straight curve. Lines are defined by a start point and an end point. Infinite lines are assumed to extend beyond both the start and end point indefinitely.

Please note, that the word segment is sometimes used to mean a finite line, and the word ray may be used for a semi-infinite line.
