A property of colour spaces. A colour in a High Dynamic Range space can have a wide variety of brightness values. This usually translates to the ability to encode both a large variety of very dark, yet distinct shades, as well as very bright, yet non-white colours.

Only a few colour spaces and image formats support HDR values, but Rhinoceros can handle them in the context of rendering.
