Convex Hull
ˈkɒn.veks hʌl
The smallest polygon or polytope which contains all the points in a given collection. In 2D a convex hull is a polyline connecting the outermost points, while in 3D it is a triangle mesh.
Note that this term may elsewhere refer only to the subset of points coincident with the hull, rather than the hull shape itself. The convex hull components in Grasshopper provide both this shape and the points in their outputs.
