Luxology modo

modo 601 is a polygon/Subdivision Surface modeller with rendering, 3D paint and animation capabilities for the PC and Mac from Luxology. You can use modo as a conceptual modeler or as an advanced visualization software or both.

April 2012 update:

There are 2 products of interest to Rhino users:

1. CAD Loaders for modo - Imports Parasolid (.x_t and .x_b), IGES (.igs and .iges) and STEP (.stp and .step) into modo.  This Plug-in will allow you to interactively adjust tessellation parameters of an incoming NURBS surface in modo. 

2. Power SubD-NURBS for modo - Plug-in converts Subdivision Surfaces to NURBS inside modo and exports to common CAD formats including Rhino, IGES, SAT and STEP.
