engagement ring by Derek Lau,

Modeled in Rhino, Rendered in mental ray

The ring was modelled in Rhino and exported to Maya via IGES file format. The scene was set up and rendered using mental ray. The concept was to explore the new boundaries in jewelry design made possible by the increasingly accurate RP technology that allows the fabrication of extremely fine details.
