SpaceMouse/SpaceBall

Sets view rotation to Rotate relative to view when using a SpaceMouse or SpaceBall.

Space controllers are suitable for controlling the view if you are used to the free rotation style used in some CAD programs, but do not feel comfortable with the up-biased view controlling system. To make Rhino use free motion, set the rotation mode to Rotate relative to view in the Options dialog box, View page.

Rotation scale

Sets the rotation sensitivity of the 3-D controller. Smaller numbers make the puck more sensitive.

Translation scale

Sets the translation sensitivity of the 3-D controller. Smaller numbers make the puck more sensitive.

Rotate plan parallel views

Allows plan parallel views to rotate when you twist the space controller ball. When disabled, plan parallel views cannot be rotated, but they can be zoomed and panned.

Note: This option must be checked for any rotation to be allowed. The Rhino settings override the Space Traveler Control Panel settings.

Swap pan and zoom

Pushing or pulling the ball up or down zooms the screen and pushing it sideways pans the screen. When disabled, pushing or pulling the ball up or down pans the screen up and down, and pushing and pulling the ball forward and back zooms the screen.

Allow tilt

Allows the screen to tilt when twisting the ball sideways.
