Rotates edges of a surface or polysurface around a center axis.
The surrounding joined surfaces are adjusted to accommodate the new face shape and orientation.
Joined polysurfaces can be adjusted while maintaining the integrity of the joined edges. This command works best on planar, blocky objects.
Steps:
Select edges.
Pick the center of rotation.
Type the rotation angle, or pick a first reference point and then pick a second reference point.
Options
3DAxis
The rotation plane is not constrained to being parallel to the construction plane.
Solid Editing > Rotate linear edge Solid > Solid Edit Tools > Edges > Rotate Edge |
Rotates a polysurface face around an axis.
The surrounding joined surfaces are adjusted to accommodate the new face orientation.
Steps:
Select a surface.
Pick a center for the rotation.
Type the rotation angle, or pick a first reference point and then pick a second reference point.
Solid Editing > Rotate Face Solid > Solid Edit Tools > Faces > Rotate Face |
Deforms a surface or polysurface face by shifting it at a specified angle.
The surrounding joined surfaces are adjusted to accommodate the new face shape and orientation.
Steps:
